| Elena’s L’Etoile’s glamorous old-fashioned French Bistro surroundings, adorned by celebrity-signed photographs that line the walls and Art Deco lighting, truly is the essence of France from a year gone-by, conveniently located in the middle of Soho. Elena’s unique environment has the perfect balance of business to Bohemia, celebrity to media creating an institution amongst the cosmopolitan restaurant scene of Charlotte Street. |
| Not a lot has changed in 100 years where Elena’s L’Etoile (The Star) still represents the same as in 1896 when it first opened its doors; one of London’s finest and most reputable restaurants. Elena’s offers delicious French/Italian cuisine, unrivalled personalised, relaxed and friendly service, a quality wine list, first class produce and the privilege of a century’s tradition. Success rarely achieve by most restaurants today. |

| The English translation of L’Etoile is “The Star”. This is particularly appropriate as the restaurant has been a familiar and discreet haunt of creative and famous people through the years. Apart from Royalty, such timeless stars from Hollywood and the stage like Charles Laughton, Gregory Peck, Rex Harrison. Robert Mitchum, Ralph Richardson, Ingrid Bergman, Elizabeth Taylor, Alec Guiness, Richard Attenburgh, Robert Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, John Gielgud, Lord Olivier, Sean Connery, Ben Kingsley and many more have been regular visitors to L’Etoile. From the world of literature and painting, artists such as Augustus John, Dylan Thomas, Lucien Freud, T.S. Eliot, Graham Green and the great painter Francis Bacon have all be noted as regulars of L’Etoile’s cuisine. This tradition continues today. |
| Elena’s also boasts four beautifully appointed private salons in classical French style. They are ideal for smaller conferences, day meetings, private dinners and events. For larger groups, the whole venue is also available for exclusive take-overs subject to availability. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, a cocktail and canapé event, a book launch to private party, we can cater for the needs of groups from 6 to 140 people. |
