| This unusually decorated restaurant is best described as small but truly beautiful. As well as a regular local clientele it is popular with celebrities such as Steps, Derek Jacobi and Herbert Lom – amongst many others. The menu has a range of Szechuan, Peking and Cantonese dishes. Thai and Malaysian are also on the menu and a big selection of vegetarian dishes, such as Chilli Paneer, Tofu Pockets and Chinese Samosa. | Mulan is the name of a young Chinese woman whose famous story is amongst many of the Chinese legends. Her surname was "Hua" which means "flower". It was traditional for each family to have a man representing them in the event of war. As Mulan had no brothers, it meant that her father had to go to fight. Mulan loved her father very much, she therefore disguised herself as a man in order to take her father's place. She fought courageously and brought victory to her people as well as honour to her family's name. She was hailed a hero until the nation discovered that Mulan was actually a woman. |
