| Set in an old Victorian pub which has been tastefully and traditionally refurbished this restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner every day, offers a mouth-watering selection of freshly prepared food in very comfortable surroundings. The menu, which changes very regularly, always includes a range of fresh fish and traditional English dishes, prepared with passion and served by friendly, professional staff. For those diners who would prefer something lighter, there is a separate menu of light bites and grills and on Sundays the lunch menu offers a range of traditional roasts. Not only is there a fine selection of wines but the bar provides real ales, beers, cocktails as well as the usual spirits and soft drinks. |

Cuisine |
|
| English/Modern British |
| Sunday roast is perhaps the biggest culinary indication of traditional english cuisine. It begins with a Yorkshire pudding (either as a first course or as part of the main meal), followed by a joint of meat and assorted vegetables. The commonest joints are beef, lamb or pork; chicken is also popular. The British have many original home-made desserts such as rhubarb crumble, bread and butter pudding, spotted dick and trifle. |
