| Porters English Restaurant was established in 1979 by Lord Bradford who stated that “Porters would serve good quality real English food at affordable prices” Some 25 years later the policy of keeping standards high and prices low is still very much the order of the day. Specialising in fresh homemade food, the best sellers include Steak and Mushroom Pie, Beer Battered Fish and chips not to mention the wonderful puddings including Steamed Syrup Sponge or Bread and Butter Pudding. Pricing is very straightforward, all starters and puddings are £3.95 and the majority of main courses are £9.95 including an appropriate side order. |
