Visited this place when passing the other day. Was not as i expected and the food was quite poor quality and very expensive for what i had.It was very oily, including the bread i had, and lacked flavour. The service was fine.

As a student across the road the temptation of a set luch meal was a good enticement. Myself and a fellow student decided o give it a try. What a let down it was. The price of 5.95 for rice, veg curry, channa massala, onion bhajee and a bread looked appetising. The portions were titchy and in a polystyrene box and we would have got a better deal with a rice dish and side from the menu. It was bland, greasy and lacked any presentation. For the same price i could have had a really nice buffet up the road in drummond street for exactly the same price (next time). A poor show altogether and not a deal as advertised. Go elsewhere this place is poor value for money.

(apart from Palms of Goa) most Indian restaurants have failed to realise that taste should go hand in hand with more healthy and reduced-fat dishes
Time Out
be prepared for the appeal of lamb xacutti, 'a very famous Goan dish prepared with coconuts, vinegar and hot spices' that's all the more welcome because it's not actually famous enough to have found its way onto the menu of most curry houses.

The tarka dal and the breads we tried were carefully prepared. Service led by Mr Dias is courteous and responsive to an interest in the food.
West End Extra
In among the Masalas and the Madras - there are four or five superbly spicy Goan dishes that are really worth a try. I'd have no hesitation in going back.
