I went for a meal here a few weeks ago and have to agree with the other reviews - this place is dreadful. Overpriced food that's tastless and COLD!! Not to mention rude service. I would never eat in this place again, nor would I recommend it to other people - try the other restaurants in Chislehurst where you are made to feel like a valued customer and where you pay less for much better "HOT" food!!

This was our second visit to Foxes - the first time we weren't that impressed but decided it may have been a bad night so thought we'd give it another chance. Obviously our first visit was representative of the standard of service and cuisine. The owner/manager looked rather disdainfully at us and when he took our order had the very irritating habit of not giving us his full attention but gazing around at what was going on in the rest of the restaurant making us feel we were not his valued customers! I started with buffalo mozzarella with avocado, plum tomatoes (which they were not) and red onion. It was more like a red onion salad with the other ingredients being a garnish. I followed with a veal escalope with a white wine and mushroom sauce, saffron rice and courgette fritters. The veal and sauce were almost tasteless, the saffron rice had certainly seen no saffron, and the courgette fritters were massive and therefore not cooked in the middle. Home made pancakes with ice cream and butterscotch sauce to follow - not bad but the pancakes would have benefited from being a little thinner and therfore not soggy in the middle. This is not a cheap restaurant and the quality and service certainly do not warrant the price. I don't think we'll be making a third visit.

This restaurant is extremely expensive, and this is not reflected in the food and service on offer which I found very poor. I went in with my partner on a quiet night and ordered a "gourmet" burger. 40 minutes later I received it, but cold and on a cold plate. I complained, only for it to be reluctantly reheated and given back with the salad and mayonnaise scraped off! Some of the staff are quite rude with an air of arrogance so don't expect an apology if the food isn't up to scratch! My best advice is to go to Papa Charlie's a few doors down instead....

I have recently went for a meal at Foxes and very much enjoyed my evening. The staff were very good to there customers and ensured that everything was going well. The atmosphere was great. Having read the last review it does not justify Foxes and the food is superb.

Was looking forward to an enjoyable St. Valentine's meal. But alas what I found was no service behind the small bar, a wobbly table, coats were only taken from you depending on which waiter you had therefore mine stayed on the back of my chair, drink orders had to be requested twice. Starter and main course very enjoyable but cheesecake dessert was previously frozen, still icy and tasted very similar to supermarket product. Slow service, certainly not enough staff to cater for such a popular evening.
All in all very disappointing for the money.
